Venue of the symposium
The ExTech® 2007 will take place at Hotel Rica downtown of Ålesund. Ålesund is beautifully situated on several islands on the west-coast of Norway, right by the entrance to some of the world’s most famous fjords and nature attractions. Ålesund has a population of 40.000, and is the commercial and industrial capital of the district Møre and Romsdal. Ålesund has a rich history. The town was devastated by fire on 23rd of January 1904, laying the whole town center in ashes. The town was completely rebuilt in the Art Noveau style, and is internationally renowned for its unique architectural style. The unique combination of the Atlantic Ocean, the fjords, and the architecture makes Ålesund one of the most popular tourist attractions in Scandinavia.
